But, with social distancing restrictions in place for our safety, open houses and in-person viewings of real estate in Lake Havasu pretty much disappeared overnight. That had a huge impact on sales. Even so, people still need homes. The good news is that you know that any buyer looking right now is a serious buyer. However, that doesn’t mean you should slack off on marketing your property. This is what you need to know about selling your home in today’s market.

House-Hunting Goes Virtual

Buyers already turned to the internet right away when looking for real estate in Lake Havasu. That holds true even more in today’s market. I talked last week about how valuable virtual tours have been for sellers right now. Whether using a simple walkthrough video created with a smartphone or a Facebook Live “open house”, this helps potential buyers view your home while still practicing social distancing. Another fantastic tool to use is a 3D virtual tour. It works similar to Google Maps and allows visitors to examine areas of the home closer if they’d like.

Photos Paint a Picture, Too

You still need some good photographs when you list your property on the Havasu real estate market. But it’s extremely important that you stage your property first. That means decluttering so that each room looks light and bright. Clear off shelves, counters, tabletops, and other surfaces of as much as possible. A fresh coat of paint transforms a room in a way you might not expect and for a small monetary investment. If you can afford it, hire a home stager to professionally get the rooms in your house in tip-top shape and camera ready.

Words Are Powerful

You can’t depend entirely on video and photographs to create a full advertisement for your real estate in Lake Havasu. Your listing also needs a good description to draw in buyers. While your agent may know the Havasu real estate market, you know your home better than they do. Help them out by telling them about specific amenities in the house that you and your family have enjoyed while living there. Also, let your agent know about the positive aspects of your neighborhood and your neighbors. How far are you from shopping, boating, camping, offroading, etc. Anything you can add to the description will only help.
